The Villas has that extra edge of being fully furnished, which was super convenient and saved me a ton of money because I didn’t have to buy any furniture. Another aspect of the Villas that I absolutely loved was the community. The events that were put on for the residents were a great opportunity to meet other people living in the building, not to mention, who doesn’t like making s’mores, having a BBQ, or even going a hike with new friends? In addition to all the fun I had living at the Villas, something that I also think is important no matter where I live is customer service, and the relationship a tenant has with the property manager. Whenever I had a problem with anything, like the water not running right, or being locked out, there was always someone around or someone I could call to help me out, and they were always fast about it, which I really appreciated. Overall, living at the Villas was an awesome experience.
I moved to the Villas after spending my freshman year at Tropicana Gardens and I loved the freedom living here gave me. Moving into the Villas was stress free since the apartment was fully furnished, which gave my roommates and I plenty of time to decorate our apartment with as much color, sparkles and light as possible! Tropicana placed me with roommates who were amazing and so similar to myself that we spent most of our nights hanging out in our living room talking, laughing and baking in our kitchen rather than hiding away in our bedrooms. As much as I loved our apartment, one of my favorite parts of living at the Villas was hanging out with other residents at the building’s programs put on by the Community Assistants, like bonfires, Super Bowl parties and BBQs by the pool. We really had a welcoming, community feeling to our building which made it that much better to come back to every day after class or work. The Villas has really felt like a home to me and I can’t wait to come back for another year.
The best time of my life was there … Such an unforgettable time!
Having lived at Tropicana Del Norte prior to moving to the Villas, I had high expectations for the building community and my overall experience. My expectations were quickly exceeded by the Community Assistants who organized community building programs and responded willingly to phone calls at any time of the day. I loved spending my senior year at UCSB in a nice apartment that was in Isla Vista but wasn’t submersed in the party atmosphere. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen was just the right size, and the building was well maintained. I have recommended the Villas to my friends since the very beginning and even now as a graduate, I am still recommending the Villas!
